SCOTLAND (Travel)

A visit to Scotland and Galasheils, from which Hugh's paternal grandparents immigrated from, was another dream come true as a result of the Safari Prize Package.

To be outside the address where my grandfather lived as a boy was quite something. I could not find my Grandmother's home.

We loved Edinburgh as well and long to visit Scotland again. The Orkney Islands would have to be on the agenda as well to discover some of Lorraine's roots.

Another thing that facinated us was the similarity of surrounding hills of Gala and Mosgiel. I snapped the photo on the left as we were leaving Gala on the bus and haven't found its name.  Mosgiel's Saddle Hill has had part of the right hump taken away by quarrying.
