AUSTRALIA (Travel)

We have enjoyed a number of visits to the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast and in March 2008 ventured further north to Cairns and Port Douglas.

Our first visit to Melbourne was in February 2011 as part of our 40th Wedding Anniversary (30 January 1971). Five days there and then flew to Coolangatta.
The warmer air is better for Hugh's lungs as it makes breathing a bit easier and, if it weren't for family and friends, he would move to the Gold Coast.

We were staying at Coolum Beach (Sunshine Coast) on the occassion of Christchurch's second major earthquake (Feb 22, 2011). Certainly dampened the enjoyment of the last two days there.

Two enjoyable train trips: Melbourne to Adelaide and November 2022 Brisbane to Cairns.
